Female?

Equal rights is something that always has a high priority in Sweden. But just as in many other countries there are holes in society where a man has more opportunities than a woman.
Some of these holes are tiny and neglectable and are purely there because they´ve always been there.
Trafficsigns for instance have always had a man on the pedestriansign. But this is something you can remedy if you feel like it. Walking down Kungsgatan I passed a small crossing with four signs and all had been "remodelled" to look female.

Someone has obviously had a lot of time on their hands = )

That is really funny. Who would ever think about the crossing man being sexist?

This is interesting. Actually it looks like it could be either. I haven't seen changes like that here. As a women, I'm not in the least offended by the crossing man :)

That's very cute. I think it says alot about how we just take male images as "the norm" for granted...to the point of normalising female invisibility in so many ways...a very slever way of making that statement.
